Clumsy shooter stalks and misses cop
A South African cop is lucky to be alive after clumsy shooter who crept up on him from behind missed what could have been a lethal shot at point blank range.
Taken in November last year, video of the incident shows a Cape Town traffic officer Nizaam Alexander 35, issuing a road ticket when is approached from behind by a shooter who appears to be having trouble loading his handgun.
Despite making a stand less than a metre behind an unsuspecting Mr Alexander, the shooter only managed to nick the officer who promptly returned fire.
Police spokesperson lieutenant-colonel Andre Traut said the inept gunman had managed to make a getaway after the cowardly act.
“The traffic officer returned fire and the suspect fled,” he said
