Chinese scooter rider crashes into parked truck

A Chinese woman distracted by her phone has crashed her scooter head first into a parked truck.

CCTV taken on Friday shows the woman travelling through Xuancheng city in the Anhui Province in eastern China, when her scooter begins to veer to the right.

The driver - who is looking at her phone - doesn’t appear to notice she's left the road and steered into the path of a parked truck.

The woman's head snaps back at she crashes head first into the heavy vehicle.

Huaihai Television reported the woman was taken to hospital after 11am with deep cuts to her face requiring more than 30 stitches.

Police said the woman has taken full responsibility for the accident.
