Single man incites subway stampede
A single man incited a stampede in China as hundreds of panicked commuters followed him off an underground train carriage.
Panic broke out on a train in Shenzhen, Guangdong Province on August 13 after a hurried man in a black backpack suddenly exited a packed train.

His fellow commuters had no idea of his motivation but became alarmed and started pouring onto the train platform.
Authorities said about 600 passengers fled, with scores simultaneously trying to squeeze through the doors which normally only accommodate a few people at a time.
The startled crowd started to calm down moments later after looking around to see what the impending danger could be.
No one was injured.
