Streets around the US Capitol in Washington were placed in lockdown after a car crashed through a barrier and injured a police officer near the Library of Congress at Capitol Hill.
Police launched a search for the car and warned there could be loud noise as officers “disrupt” the car, NBC Washington reported.

The driver suffered minor injuries.
