Caitlyn Jenner takes Donald Trump up on his bathroom offer

Caitlyn Jenner has taken up Donald Trump's offer to use his bathroom at Trump Tower.

In the wake of a North Carolina bill targeting transgender public bathroom use, the US Republican presidential frontrunner said people should be able to use "whatever bathroom they feel is appropriate".

Trump said he would be happy for transgender reality TV star Jenner to use any bathroom at Trump Tower.

It was an offer too good for Jenner to refuse.

"A trans woman in New York, I gotta take a pee. Anyways, Oh my God, Trump International Tower, I love this," she said on a Facebook video.

"Last week, Donald Trump said I could take a pee anywhere in the Trump facility, so I am going to go take a pee in the ladies' room."

She made her way to reception and asked where the toilets were, as she walked past the men's room she said: "not anymore", and went into the ladies'.

Jenner, who revealed in an interview with Advocate magazine in March she favoured GOP presidential candidate Ted Cruz, took the opportunity to hit back at Cruz for his position on the North Carolina law which requires people to use toilets based on their "biological sex".

"Thank you, Donald. I really appreciate it. By the way, Ted, nobody got molested," she said as she left the bathroom.
