Burning firefighter jumps from building in China

A Chinese firefighter has channelled his inner Hollywood stuntman after being forced to jump from a building in his burning suit.

As the flames grow stronger and more lethal behind him in the second-storey residential building, the fireman tries to grab a hose to escape out of a window.

With panicked onlookers watching helplessly below, his suit catches fire, forcing him to bail out.

He makes for a nearby wall to grab onto a drainpipe but still hurts the concrete at speed.

The incident happened in Hubei province last Thursday.

He suffered a few burns to hands but was otherwise unhurt, with no other injuries reported, according to local media.
