A British man has reportedly died in Macedonia of suspected Ebola.

The man died at a clinic in Skopje, the Telegraph reports.

He was unable to communicate with doctors, but his symptoms at the time he was admitted suggested he had Ebola.

If confirmed it would be the first Ebola death of a UK national, after British nurse Will Pooley was cured of the virus last month.

News of the man’s death comes as enhanced screening techniques are being introduced across Britain for passengers travelling from Ebola-affected regions of west Africa.

French authorities have also reportedly sealed off a building near Paris over suspected cases of Ebola.
