Beauty pageant contestant compares Duterte to Hitler

If there was a prize for creating uncomfortable situations, Miss Philippines Earth would take the crown after asking her Austrian counterpart about Hitler.

Miss Philippines Earth 2016, Imelda Bautista Schweighart was nestled up next to Miss Earth Austria 2016, Kimberly Budinsky on Facebook Live when she decided to ask the European an incredibly awkward question.

“Is Hitler from Austria?”

Budinsky’s smile disappeared from her face as she struggled to respond.

“That's a bad question because we normally don't really talk about Hitler. But yes, he is," Budinsky said.

Schweighart then made a bad situation worse by comparting Philippine’s President Rodrigo Duterte to the Nazi leader.

“Oh my God, our President is doing Hitler stuff here in the Philippines," Schweighart said.

The live-stream which was posted on Monday has already been viewed more than 400,000 times, garnering mixed responses from critics.

“Really????? Wtf! U dont deserve to represent our country! Shame on you!!!!!!!!” wrote one user.

During a speech Duterte referenced Hitler killing millions of Jews, saying he was willing to slaughter the same number of criminals in the Philippines.
