Aussie friends win unbelievable jackpot in Japanese arcade

A trip to a Japanese game arcade turned into an experience two Aussie men will never forget after they were showered in 5000 arcade tokens by a rogue slot machine.

Max Stanley, from Perth, and a friend hit the jackpot while recently playing the bizarre game, but neither were prepared for just how grand their prize would be.

The two young travellers could only shout in disbelief "this is happening" after their numbers lined up and coins started to pour out at an alarming rate.

However, their excitement quickly turned to worry some 20 minutes later when it showed no signs of slowing.

Unfortunately for the exhausted pair, the coins were only arcade tokens.

While the value of their winnings remains unclear, we can presume they were able claim a really big teddy bear for their troubles.
