Man caught stuffing tiger into freezer

A Vietnamese man has been arrested after he was caught stuffing a dead tiger into a freezer, local media reports.

Le Van Duc, 26, was found stuffing the 37kg carcass into a freezer on Thursday evening, the Tuoi Tre newspaper reported.

Skin from a different tiger was also found inside the freezer.

The suspect was being questioned by police about the animal's origin and where he was planning to sell it.

People trading in endangered wildlife in Vietnam face up to seven years jail.

Tigers have been driven to the brink of extinction in Vietnam, where their body parts are sold for high prices on the black market because of their supposed medicinal properties.
