Family of Bali victims want Australian autopsy
The family of the Sunshine Coast mother and daughter who died mysteriously one day into their Bali holiday say they are concerned about the probe by Indonesian authorities and want an autopsy to be done in Australia.
Local police say their investigation into the deaths of Noelene Bischoff and her daughter Yvana, 14, may take weeks, and will be hindered by the family rejecting having an autopsy being undertaken by Indonesian authorities.
The pair died in the early hours of Saturday on the first day of their 15-day adventure of the holiday island.
It has been speculated that food poisoning or anaphylaxis is to blame.

Bali police have revealed they have been advised that the Bischoff family were refusing an autopsy on the mother and daughter through a letter from the Australian consulate, The Sydney Morning Herald reported.
"It didn't detail why they refused the autopsy," Adnan Pangibu, the criminal investigation chief in Karangasem, said.
"Without an autopsy it's going to be very difficult for us to investigate further."
The family wants the autopsy done in Australia and have expressed concerns about the probe by local police, the ABC reported.
"(We're) fairly concerned because I actually listened to an interview with the head chef from the restaurant from the hotel and he assured everyone that their food was fine," Ms Bischoff's brother, Malcolm, said.
"Without a post-mortem, you'd be fairly game to suggest something like that, I would think."
The managers of two restaurants where Ms Bischoff and her daughter dined the day before they died have rejected claims their food was to blame.
It was suspected a $6 plate of "toxic" fish may have been responsible for the pair's deaths.
Police are investigating the final meal they shared at the Buddha Bar and Restaurant of mahi mahi fish, chicken curry and vegetarian pizza.
The pair also had a meal of calamari, tuna and prawns with french fries for lunch at Warung Dewa Malen restaurant earlier that day.
The Bischoff family has denied the pair had allergies, adding that Noelene, 54, loved seafood.
