Instructor saves army recruit’s life after he drops live grenade

A Chinese army recruit is counting his blessings after dropping a live grenade, forcing his instructor to pull him to safety.

Video posted online shows the instructor supervising the young solider with the grenade during training.

The instructor then notices the live grenade drop to the floor and quickly reacts, pulling the new recruit into a nearby trench before it explodes.

The young man rises from the trench shaken up but comforted by his instructor, who seemed to enjoy the adrenaline of the near-death situation.

It is the latest of several Chinese army grenade mishaps that have been filmed and posted online.
