Argentinian robbers carrying baby boy hold up store at gunpoint

An Argentinian couple has been captured on camera brazenly robbing a clothes store at gunpoint, while carrying a baby.

The pair wandered into the store in San Francisco Solano, south of Buenos Aires, on Saturday and browsed the clothes racks like any commonplace customer.

Without warning, the man handed the baby to his female accomplice and pulled a gun on the terrified owner.

The worker and store owner Marcelo Taraborrelli was kicked, punched and thrown to the ground.

As the couple ransacked the store and stuffed clothes into their bags, the youngster was left to crawl on his own across the floor.

Mr Taraborrelli said the baby boy appeared to be between nine months and one year old.

“The girl obviously had the baby so everything appeared normal,” he told local media.

“It was a strategy. Unfortunately the child was an innocent accomplice.”

The couple fled with clothes and more than A$7000 in cash from the till, and remain on the run.
