Unsuspecting impala leaps into croc's jaws

A South African tourist has captured the moment an unsuspecting impala leaped straight into the waiting jaws of a crocodile.

In the video, captured by Rene van der Schyff during a visit to South Africa's Kruger National Park, the sneaky reptile lay hidden below the surface before bursting out of the water.

It is unclear whether either dumb luck or perfectly timed precision delivered the croc its prey.

The impala was the first of its pack to attempt to cross the river.

Either way, it makes for some spectacular, albeit gruesome, viewing.
