110-year-old woman doesn't care about TV interview

When you reach the age of 110, being on TV is not something worth making an effort for.

So seems to be the attitude of US woman Flossie Dickey, who was content to sit silently and ignore most of the questions asked by the earnest reporter there to cover her milestone birthday.

"Are you excited for your birthday?" the reporter asks.

"Not one bit," is Flossie's deadpan response.

Despite the best efforts of Good Day Spokane anchor Nichole Mischke, the only thing that was revealed about Flossie from the interview is that she likes to nap.

If there's a secret to long life, Flossie is not keen to reveal it to the television audience.

"I don't fight it. I live it," she murmurs.

Her family says Flossie's favourite thing to do is drink whisky "straight up".

Not bad for a woman born in 1906.
