Renee Bargh first asked the question every fan has been asking: Is this really the end for the biggest show on TV?

"That's above my pay grade," he laughed. "I don't know for sure, but it wouldn't surprise me if it wasn't and it wouldn't surprise me if it was!"

Bentley was also asked about the fact that Kevin Costner wouldn't be returning to film the final episodes, with his character being written off in the opening scenes of Monday's episode.

His reply was as cool as ever: "I always lean on the fans to see how they feel about everything, so I look forward to see how they feel about just about anything."

Jamie has had many dark moments over the past five seasons, and now he's suspected of having something to do with his father's untimely death.

Bentley went on to say that he was happy to bid farewell to his character in some capacity.

"After five seasons of... it wasn't just playing that character for so long. Every time Jamie's on-screen it's some big reveal or some devastating moment or some abusive fight – even after the second season I was having a lot of trouble shaking that," he said.
