Travel Guides star Jono Fren and wife Dani introduce Fren family member you won't see on TV - as fans all say the same thing
You know his family and now you've met Jono Fren's wife on the hit series Travel Guides.
But there's one family member fans won't see on TV, as Jono and wife Dani introduced a special someone to fans – Grandma Fren.

In a joint post on Instagram, Jono and Dani shared an adorable photo taken with Grandma Fren a.k.a "Nan".

The trio caught up at a local pub in Newcastle ahead of Dani's TV debut following the Travel Guides' trip to Japan.
"Today was a good day to take Nan out for a nice Friday lunch with @dani.fren21 at @warnersbayhotel 🤩," they captioned the fun snap.
"It's hard to believe Nan will be 80 later this year! 🥳🎉."

In the photo, Jono's nan flashed the biggest smile as she wrapped her arms around her grandson and his partner.
The young Travel Guides star followed his post with the hashtags "#familytime" and "bestfrens".
Dad Mark Fren jumped to the comments writing: "What nice kids you guys are. I'm sure Nan loved her lunch x"
While fans rushed to the comments section to all write the same thing.
"Wow, she looks AMAZING! 🤩 Beautiful photos ❤️," wrote one follower, to which Jono replied: "She's kicking along pretty good 😁."
"Nana still looks good 🎉🎉," said another.
Jono responded, "She is definitely fitter than us ! 😂."

"Definitely looking fantastic for nearly 80yrs," agreed a third.
The sweet update comes as Jono's wife Dani joined the Fren Family on their latest trip to Japan.
Dani stepped in while sister Victoria was stuck at work.

Taking to Instagram, Dani thanked friends and viewers for the wave of support.
"Thank you for all the love & messages! ❤️ Japan was amazing," she captioned a grid of behind-the-scenes photos.
Reflecting on her experience at the time, Dani told cameras: "I've been hearing about Jono's travel stories for about six years now so it's nice to be here to experience it first hand with everyone."
A day earlier Dani confirmed her special Travel Guides appearance, while sharing even more fun holiday snaps.

"Well… the cat's out of the bag now," Dani began.
"Yes, I went to Japan with @thefrenfamily on a @travelguides adventure which was unexpected and something I could never see myself saying yes to!
"My beautiful sister-in-law @victoriafren was extremely missed by all. I don't know how you guys do it back to back for so long 😴 Here's hoping we still did you proud xx."
Inside Jono Fren and wife Dani's relationship
Jono and wife Dani celebrated their four-year wedding anniversary in June 2025.
To celebrate the milestone, Jono shared a video of their wedding day including the moment he read his vows and revealed the exact moment he knew Dani was 'the one'.
Jono shared that moment came when he was away on a Travel Guides trip and he and Dani had only been dating for four months.

"Our family dog Romeo was staying at a pet motel and had run out of medication and was feeling homesick," Jono explained.

"[Dani] decided to pick him up from the pet motel early and took him home with you to your family for an even better holiday.
"So when I knew you were something special, in the wise words of Beyoncé I decided I liked it and put a ring on it."
Jono also penned a heartfelt message to Dani online in honour of the special occassion, thanking her for "making life the greatest adventure".
"Every day with you is nothing but fun and you make any tough day so much easier to get through. It is such a privilege to be your husband and I am grateful every day to call you my wife. I can't wait to see what the rest of our life has in store for us. I love you."
