Aussie engineer gives up chance to win life-changing $50,000 jackpot – there's a heartfelt reason why
Not many people get the chance to walk away from a day's work with $50,000 – but Sanchit had that exact opportunity... and said no.
On Wednesday's episode of Tipping Point Australia the sales engineer built up a bank of $4,300 throughout the show's rounds, certainly enough for his goal of taking his wife to Spain with the prize money.
But host Todd Woodbridge had another idea.

With one final Jackpot Round category to play, if Sanchit got the question right, Todd turned to Sanchit's wife Shefali in the audience, who admitted she was "overwhelmed".

"She loves me, I love her, money doesn't matter. Even if we go on the trip of not, it's still there," Sanchit said.

"But we want you to get the money!" Todd laughed.
Unfortunately, Sanchit wasn't able to correctly guess his final question – but that's when the host stepped in with a second chance.

"It leaves us with only one more option," Todd said.
"I said it at the beginning, we should just go straight to Temptation. So, why don't we play Jackpot Temptation?"
To do that, Sanchit would have to give up his $4,300 so Todd came through with a very big offer: "For you today, I'm only going to give you one offer. I'm gonna give you four counters and I'm gonna increase the value to $50,000."

It was hard not to be tempted by that, especially as the Jackpot Counter was in a good spot on the bottom shelf of the machine.
But both Sanchit and Shefali agreed that it was not worth the risk.
"I think my luck ran out with the last question," Sanchit admitted.
"I think I'll take the money."

And with that, Todd and Sanchit shook hands – and now he's got a romantic trip to Spain to plan!
