The Block's Karlie and Will: why we won

Last night. high school sweathearts and Block favourites, Karlie and Will, took out the season's top prize and $815,000.  

In the video above, 9Homes caught up with the duo during their celebrations to chat about why they thought their apartment had the edge over the other contestants. "We came last in the first challenge, so we had to work much harder," says Will. "We had a courtyard, polished concrete, and high ceilings." 

The couple, who said they'll still be telling their grand kids about the life changing experience, also had a secret weapon up their sleeve. "I had my lucky horse shoe with me all season," Will told Lisa Wilkinson on this morning's Today Show.
