Aussie mum shares ridiculously easy hack for cleaning your toaster

There are plenty of jobs we put off or just forget about, especially when it comes to cleaning around the house.

We're not talking about those tricky, time-consuming jobs like cleaning the oven either. Think about your toaster — when was the last time you gave it a deep clean? If you have no idea you're not alone.

It's one of the most frequently used appliances in most homes and thankfully Chantel Mila has shared her ridiculously quick and easy method for cleaning it on TikTok.

Mama Mila revealed exactly how she does it in a short clip.

"So easy you can do it while dinner is cooking," she captioned the video.

The method is simple. Start by unplugging the toaster (safety first!). Next, empty the crumb trays out, wash them out with warm soapy water and leave them to dry.

Now, a lot of us would turn the toaster upside down and give it a couple of taps over the sink to get any extra crumbs out, but she's got an easier way.

She uses a hairdryer to blow out any crumbs that are stuck in the machine.

To get the outside sparkling like new again she gets a spray bottle filled with white vinegar, gives the appliance a spray and wipes it down with a microfibre cloth.

All you need to do to finish the process off is pop the crumb trays back into the toaster and plug it in.

Fans of Mama Mila's cleaning hacks on TikTok love this latest one, especially the tip of using a hairdryer.

"Blow dryer is such a good idea," commented one fan.

"Love the blow dryer idea," added another. Mama Mila replied, "Much easier than lifting it! I always feel like I'll break it otherwise."

One TikTok user commented, "It looks so clean!"
