Angelina Jolie pays $39,000 a month to live in the most private neighbourhood in world

Angelina Jolie is moving forward after filing for divorce from Brad Pitt — by renting a mansion in one of the most private neighbourhoods in the world.

Jolie is reportedly paying $39,000 a month for the 743sqm house, which is nestled amongst A-list real estate in the private gated community of Hidden Hills in LA. In fact, the neighbourhood is kept so under the radar that it doesn't even feature on Google Street View.

The actress and her six children will be in good company after upping sticks from their Malibu estate. Kim Kardashian and Kayne West are among the 2000 residents that live here, along with Miley Cyrus, Drake, Jennifer Lopez and LeAnn Rimes.

According to Entertainment Tonight, her new property boasts two beach-entry pools, a waterfall, a 74sqm cabana and a wine tasting room. But, privacy during one of the most talked about Hollywood divorces ever is no doubt the draw for Jolie. And this really isn't your typical LA enclave. The Hidden Hills website stresses that the neighbourhood has a "rural, country way of life that has nearly vanished from Southern California."

"The pastoral setting is highlighted by the absence of sidewalks and street lights and by the presence of llamas, ostriches and the occasional cow."

Jolie filed for divorce from Pitt in September, citing irreconcilable differences.
