Lady Elliot Island Eco Resort
A short flight off the coast of Bundaberg, Lady Elliot Island Eco Resort is a world renowned slice of paradise on the Great Barrier Reef surrounded by pristine waters, and is home of the manta ray. Since visiting as a bright-eyed 21-year-old in 1980, Peter Gash has had an unrivalled love for the island. After providing air charter services to the island alongside his family, Peter jumped at the chance to take on the lease for Lady Elliot Island when it became available in 2005, and has worked tirelessly since, to transform the resort into a shining example of ecological tourism. An ecological crusader, world environment champion, co-owner and custodian, Peter's love for the island lives in his commitment to protect the land for generations to come.
