Lyle and Helen Kent, founders of Kent Saddlery since 1988, transitioned from vegetable farming to pursue their passion for leatherwork and saddlery.

Lyle's interest in leatherwork, developed during his time as a ringer on Humbert River Station in the 1960s, led them to establish the business. Initially seeking saddle repair work in the outback, the family received a breakthrough from a generous station owner, leading to years of saddle repairs and documenting over 3000 properties they visited.
Kent Saddlery, a family business, is a testament to their connection with the land, animals, and people, shaping their craftsmanship and leaving behind a meaningful legacy.
