John Busst

John Büsst was an artist and conservationist in Queensland, Australia who was best known for protecting Queensland's Great Barrier Reef and its tropical rainforests from development, mining pressures and exploitation.
He was also a lover of art and all of nature's beauty. His life was a drawcard for many lovers of nature to come to the Mission Beach community and this attitude is sewn into the fabric of the local community today.
John Busst died in 1971, so we meet historian Terry Carmichael who shares John's story.
