Olympian Emily Seebohm confirms new relationship with mystery man following split from MAFS' Ryan Gallagher
Olympic swimmer Emily Seebohm has confirmed she is in a new relationship after her engagement to Married At First Sight's Ryan Gallagher was called off.
Emily confirmed that she and Ryan had broken up but also that she was no longer single in a Q&A with fans and followers on Instagram.
"Single?" one fan asked.
"No 🥰❤️" Emily answered, alongside a photo of her with her head resting on the shoulder of a mystery man.

She responded with a swift "nope" to a question about whether she and Ryan, who appeared on MAFS in 2018, were still together.
The reality star and seven-time Olympic medallist share two-year-old son Sampson and had been engaged for almost three years.

Emily shared the same photo with her new partner to a carousel of images also featuring Sampson, captioning it "My favourite people ❤️".
Her 84,000 followers loved seeing an insight into her happiness.
"Soft launch?" one follower asked.
"💯. And good on them," another commented.
"Happiness is contagious!!!!!!!!" a third shared.

It comes days after Ryan opened up about his recent dating life for the first time on his Instagram, following rumours the pair had split back in April 2025.
"I went on a date on Sunday, I don't go on too many dates, I've only just sort of started doing that," he candidly revealed.

Ryan and Emily's split comes after the pair announced their engagement in early 2023, just three months after confirming their romance on social media.
They met while competing on The Challenge Australia in 2022, although Emily was in a relationship at the time.
Knowing she had feelings for Ryan, Emily decided to end things with her then-boyfriend.

As early as April 2025 however, fans clocked on that both Ryan and Emily had unfollowed each other on social media, just as the pair had stopped appearing in each other's online photos.

Ryan proposed to Emily at a dam on his farm just outside of Goulburn in NSW.
"I thought it was the right spot to do it – she loves the horses and she often swims in the dam," he told Woman's Day at the time.
"I did get nervous though. The [ring] box was making a bit of a bulge in my pocket. So either she knew I was proposing or she just thought I was happy to see her."

Ryan posted a sweet snap of the couple with a simple heart-eyed emoji.
Ryan appeared on Season 5 of MAFS, where he was matched with Davina Rankin.
However, the duo didn't last and she became briefly involved with groom Dean Wells in what became one of the biggest cheating scandals in MAFS history.
