Sam claims Elizabeth is cause of illness

Sam has already been late to one dinner party and made a spectacular entrance when he did finally arrive. Tonight marked the second late entrance – and he had a similarly large bombshell to drop.

Not only was he alone, he had chicken pox.

The man who has so far been to an international funeral, met up with another wife while telling his current wife he was “talking on the phone to his Mum”, somehow managed to contract a viral illness typically associated with children.

Sam had theories of his own as to exactly what the itchy lumps were. "I think I’m actually allergic to my wife," he said in an exclusive Diary Cam.

"I’m getting these hivey things all over me, disgusting. They’re all over my head, they’re literally everywhere. I can feel the bumps in my skull, I’m getting hectic headaches.

"I don’t know what it is but I am definitely allergic to my wife, it is messed up."

Not one to be taken down by such matters, Sam rallied to attend the meal, informing the other participants they should be safe if they had been immunised or previously had the infection.

“Where’s Liz?” demanded Cyrell, pointing out there was another matter Sam had failed to address – that of his missing wife.

“That’s what I was just gonna ask youse guys,” Sam replied. “I don’t know.”

“What do you mean?” asked an incredulous Heidi, questioning exactly how the pair managed to avoid phones.

(Aside from checking Instagram, that is.)

“How would you feel if she had just left for good?” Mike asked directly, as Sam said he was clueless as to Liz’s whereabouts.

“Both of us have been giving it a shot this week,” Sam replied. “We’ve been trying.”
