'Fake tan, needy and fat people': Groom horrifies with list of turn-offs – and every other shocking detail from the Hens' and Bucks' nights

With the Married At First Sight weddings about to kick off the 18 singles met each other at the Hens' and Bucks' Nights ... and some left more lasting impressions than others.

Grayson has some MAFS connections

So it turns out that this isn't Grayson's first MAFS rodeo. Well, not exactly anyway.

While he's never appeared on the show himself before, a good friends of his have. And even better, he's a major success story.

Kerry and Johnny tied the knot back in Season 8 of the show, and five years later are still married with a beautiful child.

Chris horrifies with his extensive 'turn-off list'

If you asked a group of people for their top three red flags in a partner, we can almost guarantee that the most common answer would be "rude to waitstaff".

So it didn't leave a great impression when Chris' first moments on screen saw him knocking on the bar with a hand on his hip, saying, "just tryna get some service over here".

To clarify, we're not saying this is Chris' only or biggest red flag; we're just saying it was the first (of many).

If you're wondering, "What else could he possibly have done to top that?" Let's just start with the fact that he quickly and unapologetically told producers that his turn-offs are "fake tan, needy, and fat people".

There's a rapper in our midst

Before we get too far, no one panic – his career hasn't made it further than SoundCloud.

Queensland local David may be an e-commerce manager today, but once upon a time, he had a 10-year rap career.

In his own words, "I was 100 per cent a hustler, a grinder".

While he didn't name names, he made sure to drop in that he was, in fact, signed to an "internationally renowned record label".

But his wife apparently has nothing to fear. David assured that his lifestyle and music are two different things.

He's not a womaniser. He's just a man who loves rap music.

Hens' night

We have a MAFS first – a bisexual bride

Confidence and charisma consultant Julia shared with the girls that she dates both men and women.

"For me, it's not about the gender. The connection transcends the gender, and it's been like that for me over the last eight years since I've been dating men and women," she said.

"So that's another layer of nerves I'm experiencing because I have no idea who is gonna be there on the day. It could go either way."

Honesty doesn't seem to be an issue for Gia

The Hens' party was going so well.

Wine glasses were staying full, secrets were being shared in a judgment-free environment, and all the girls were getting along swimmingly.

Then, Gia arrived.

"Like [they're] pretty, but not like baddies. I'm not like, 'wow she's f---ing hot'," Gia said (thankfully) to the producers.

"I don't see myself getting lost in the crowd. Look at me."

She then proceeded to consistently ask everyone if they were getting "f---cked up" since it was a hens, and then told Rachel (remember, the one who hasn't had a relationship in 14 years) that she has "never been broken up with".

Safe to say she left an impression.

There's already some beef between Gia and Bec

Not even 25 minutes into the first episode and we already have our first beef.

It comes as no surprise that Gia (the brutally honest one) is on one end, facing off against Bec (the one who was unapologetically herself).

"Bec – is that her name? – yeah, weird b----," Gia told (again, thankfully) the producers.

"She was looking at me in a way like, 'I hate this b----', and I was giving it back, so I don't really care. Like, relax, you're a five out of 10, so f---ing chill, do you know what I mean?"

Bec's comments about Gia were equally as harsh, although Bec did at least soften the blow to Gia with a backhanded compliment.

"Her attitude stinks, and I don't like it," she said.

"She's hot, though, I'll give her that. Too bad about the personality."
