Exclusive: Lauren reveals what Eliot's mum warned her on their wedding day as the pair sensationally split on MAFS 2025
EXCLUSIVE: Married At First Sight bride Lauren raised a glass and made a toast to the end of her short-lived relationship with husband Eliot during Monday night's episode.
After abandoning her two days into their honeymoon, Lauren was the least bit surprised when Eliot stood her up at the very first Dinner Party.

But in an exclusive exit interview, Lauren says she should've known how things were going to unfold after speaking with Eliot's mum on their wedding day.
"Even his mum said that he's difficult, so I should've just listened to her and left the morning after," Lauren told 9Entertainment.
While we didn't get to hear from Eliot at the Dinner Party, he spoke out in this exclusive exit interview – hear everything he had to say in the video above.
It's safe to say Lauren wasn't too phased by Eliot's departure. Nine
"We had conversations very early on where we realised we didn't align with those big pieces of the puzzle – difference in family goals, difference in lifestyles," Eliot said of his break up with Lauren.
After telling Lauren he didn't feel a connection and was going to leave their honeymoon, the groom says she asked him to stick around but Eliot's mind was made up.
"I'm quite a decisive person. If I make a decision there's not really much that'll change my mind on it," he said.

But Eliot's departure wasn't as devastating to Lauren as he might've thought.
The bride barely bat an eyelid, realising she was much better off without the groom and what's more she still stuck around to enjoy a solo holiday.
"I went sailing, I had picnics on the beach by myself and had some cocktails," Lauren giggled.

Despite how things worked out, Lauren and Eliot actually hit it off on their wedding day. Nine
In fact, the solo portion of the honeymoon was Lauren's favourite part with the bride describing her time with Eliot as "boring".
"When we first arrived, Eliot was telling me what I was and wasn't allowed to talk about. I was only allowed to say certain things when other people weren't around," she said.

"I just feel like he was trying to control the whole situation, trying to control the narrative."
