"It's truly a strange feeling to be typing this out but I understand my reality is now having to share some aspects of my life with you all regardless of how private I'd like to remain at times," she wrote.

"This is extremely difficult for me to express but out of respect for those of you who supported me, and rode for me, I want you to know that Caleb and I are no longer together.

"I do ask for time as I continue to go through the process of heartbreak and healing as this has all been very hard for me. "I cannot thank you all enough for the love and support to this point and I hope that it may continue as we move forward as individuals."

The reality star disabled comments on the post, which has attracted more than 50,000 likes.

Caleb also posted a statement to Instagram confirming the split, and hinted that their breakup had happened earlier than revealed, with the star acknowledging they had both "wrestled" with the announcement "for some time now".

"As many of you may already know, Justine and I are no longer together. I wish her the absolute best and much continued success," he wrote. "This announcement has been one that we have wrestled with for some time now. Not knowing exactly when and how to deliver it. The nature in which we met and fell for each other comes with a unique set of obstacles that nothing in life can ever prepare you for."

After thanking those who have supported them, Caleb added he hoped those following their breakup would choose "compassion over condemnation", and that he was "choosing privacy for the sake of my own personal peace" during this time.

Despite the announcement just dropping, Caleb's last public post on his Instagram feed with Justine is from November 4. Justine's last post with Caleb is from the same night, and was posted on November 3, meaning it's possible the pair broke up months prior to their announcement.

The news comes just one week after the runners-ups from the season, Cely Vazquez and Johnny Middlebrooks, also called it quits.

Cely announced the news on her Twitter, writing, "I wanted to share with you that Johnny and I are no longer together," while also asking her followers to "respect this decision and our privacy".

Both Justine and Cely became very close during their time on the show together, and it's clear that despite both going through breakups their friendship is still looking strong. Both reality stars have posted multiple pictures with each other on their Instagram feeds.
