There are hundreds of countries in the world to visit, but some stand out against the others.
To coincide with the launch of eSIM company Holafly's new global unlimited data plan, a report reveals how and where the world travelled in 2025.
Data from the company showed that nearly half of all travellers visited places they'd never been before.
But what were the most popular destinations?

10. Portugal
Portugal charms visitors with its historic cities, rolling hills, world-renowned wine regions, and dramatic Atlantic coastline.
Lisbon is famous for its Fado music, tiled buildings, and historic trams, while the Algarve region offers stunning golden beaches and sea caves.
9. Japan
One million Aussies visited Japan in the last year. It's got everything, from the frantic pace of Tokyo, the serenity of Kyoto's temples and Zen gardens, to the iconic beauty of Mount Fuji.
Travel highlight: Visiting in spring for cherry blossom season.
8. United Kingdom
Though most people tend to just visit London before exploring more of Europe, the rest of the UK has plenty on offer, from quaint countryside to peaceful beaches.
Travel highlight: The Scottish Highlands. Think mountainous landscapes shrouded in mist, tartan-clad heroes, steam trains chugging across viaducts, standing stones and castles.
