These are the clearest viewpoints in the world - and one Aussie spot made the list
Most holiday itineraries involve getting the best views of your destination. However, these plans can often be tarnished by cloudy skies and rainy weather.
A new study has identified the world's clearest viewpoints, ensuring travellers can experience views without disappointment.
Premier Inn analysed 2023 weather data for nearly 100 viewpoints, including cloud coverage and average visibility, for 98 popular viewpoints around the globe.
Each location was then scored on a 1 to 100 visibility scale to crown the world's clearest views.

20. Echo Point, Australia
Just making the top 20 is Echo Point Lookout in Australia. The viewpoint is within the Blue Mountains of New South Wales, providing visitors with sweeping views of Jamison Valley and the bucket-list-worthy Three Sisters rock formation.
18. Mehtab Bagh, India
Within Asia, Mehtab Bagh Viewpoint is the clearest view and ranks 18th in the world.
The Moonlight Garden is a historical sight nestled on the Yamuna Riverbank. It offers some of the best views of the Taj Mahal from a peaceful garden environment and provides amazing photo opportunities of the white marble mausoleum from afar.
17. Blyde Rier Canyon, South Africa
South Africa's natural splendour can be seen from Africa's second-clearest viewpoint – the Blyde River Canyon, which ranks in 17th place globally.
Located within the Mpumalanga province, it is one of the world's largest canyons, featuring dramatic cliffs and the winding Blyde River.
16. Spinnaker Tower, England
Five additional British views are among the world's clearest top 20. The Spinnaker Tower is a 170-metre landmark observation tower in Portsmouth, England and sits at number 16. It is the centrepiece of the redevelopment of Portsmouth Harbour.
14. Cheddar Gorge, England
Cheddar Gorge is a limestone gorge in the Mendip Hills, near the village of Cheddar, Somerset, England. The gorge is the site of the Cheddar show caves, where Britain's oldest complete human skeleton, Cheddar Man, estimated to be 9,000 years old, was found in 1903.

Blackpool Tower is a tourist attraction in Blackpool, Lancashire, England, which was opened to the public on 14 May 1894. When it opened, Blackpool Tower was the tallest man-made structure in the British Empire.

The Czech Republic also boasts two of the world's clearest views, with two spots ranking in joint 11th.
The viewpoint from Charles Bridge affords visitors views of the Vltava River, Prague's Old Town (Staré Město) and the Lesser Town (Malá Strana).
11. Petřín Tower, Czech Republic
Petřín Tower also offers views of Prague from the top of Petřín hill, resembling a mini version of the Eiffel Tower.
The actual Eiffel Tower in Paris ranks in 23rd place as France's clearest viewpoint.
10. Pen y Fan, Wales
Pen Y Fan in Wales kicks off the top ten, offering glorious views of the Usk Valley, reservoirs Talybont and Llwyn-on, and even the Cambrian Mountains on a clear day.
