When it comes to packing and unpacking, flight attendants probably do it more than most people.

So it's no surprise they have a list of things they know always has to go in their bag.

Laura Garside is an Australian cabin crew member for Emirates and has shared a few of the things she always has in her carry on – including two absolute Aussie staples.

"The first priority is our passports, flying licenses, and a few other important documents we need to board the plane," Laura Garside tells 9Honey.

She also has a few other "inflight musts" including extra uniform items.

"And of course, the makeup essentials to keep us touched up and glamorous throughout the flight," the Dubai-based cabin crew member adds.

But there are a few personal items that she makes sure are always in her carry on.

"Last but certainly not least, my Weet-bix and Vegemite, for a taste of home in every destination," she says.

Emirates recently held a national recruitment drive, looking for prospective Australian candidates to join its multinational cabin crew team.

Since working with the airline, Garside has visited 45 countries worldwide and has reaped the many benefits that come with living at the airline's exciting Dubai base.

"Emirates has provided me with not only a dream job, but the incredible training and resources that have allowed me to fully immerse myself in a new career and foreign country," she said previously.
