Virgin Australia drop massive sale with over half-a-million fares from $75

Virgin Australia have dropped one of their biggest sales to date, with over 500,000 fares from just $75 in their latest campaign, 'You Can't Keep A Good Thing Down'.

The sale kicks off today, and ends at midnight AEDT next Friday November 20, with 23kg luggage allowance and seat selection with generous booking dates around the peak New Year holiday period and through to 2021.

With state border restrictions lifting around the country, travellers can take advantage of a number of great deals, including Sydney to Byron Bay (Ballina) from $75, Melbourne to Launceston from $79, Brisbane to Newcastle from $89, and Adelaide to Melbourne from $89.

The campaign comes ahead of the end of the carrier's voluntary administration end date, next Tuesday November 17, and stars a 12-year-old Melbourne schoolgirl, Annie Jones, from America's Got Talent fame.

The tiny talent was thrust into the spotlight after singing and dancing to Aussie artist Tones and I's hit tune 'Dance Monkey' on the televised talent contest.

In the Virgin Australia campaign (watch above), Annie can be seen bursting with excitement at finally returning to the airport for a family holiday with mum, and adorably breaking into dance as INXS's 'What You Need' plays, before finally boarding her flight.

Virgin Australia General Manager Brand and Marketing, Michael Nearhos, said the campaign is all about bringing to life the excitement of flying with Virgin Australia again.

"As state and territory borders safely re-open and more Australians consider travelling, we wanted to show our guests how they'll feel to finally enter the airport again to go on that holiday they've been dreaming of, to conduct business or to reunite with family and friends, and this campaign certainly captures that," said Mr Nearhos.

The campaign has two meanings, he added.

"It's not only a nod to Virgin Australia looking to the future but it's also about giving travellers confidence that, after a period of uncertainty, the Virgin Australia they know and love is up there flying again, and here to stay."

When asked about Annie's involvement, Nearhos said, "Annie has got this amazing, vibrant, and warm personality and an infectious zest for life which is a really great fit for our brand and we know Australians will fall in love with her just like we did."
