Uber launches boat services in six new tourist hotspots
Getting around on holidays can sometimes be tricky, especially if you're Getting around on holidays to get anywhere.
And while Uber is normally extremely handy, if the traffic is bad, then it might not end up being such a pleasant trip.
But imagine if you could get from A to B by gliding across the waves instead. Well, that is now a reality for tourists at six popular hotspots in Europe this summer.

Tourists will be able to use the Uber app to access new nautical experiences in Ibiza, Venice, Athens, Paris, Corfu and Santorini.
Uber Yacht will give guests in Ibiza a new way to enjoy the island in ultimate luxury with a private yacht.
You'll also be able to access a first-of-its-kind water transport service, which will launch in Venice for visitors to get around the Venetian Lagoon at the tap of a button.
Uber Boat will expand beyond Mykonos to new locations throughout Greece, including Athens, Corfu and Santorini.
Finally, visitors to Paris this summer can pick up Uber Cruise to take a trip down the river Seine.

The 'world first' Uber Yacht will depart Ibiza Town Marina every day at 12pm, and will offer groups of up to eight people the opportunity to sail around the white isle in a luxurious Sunseeker Yacht for just €200 ($320) per head.
Each eight-hour trip comes with its own personal skipper, a complimentary bottle of champagne and locally sourced artisan snacks. In Uber style, transfers to and from the yacht are included - from anywhere on the island.
Uber Yacht will be available to pre-book via Uber Reserve in Ibiza starting on July 26 and a minimum of 24 hours in advance, with the product available between August 3 and 20.

These new travel products are launching in response to rising demand for Uber's services in tourist hotspots around Europe.
Data from summer 2023, shows demand from international customers for Uber's mobility services increased last year by up to 55 per cent in places like Greece and Spain.
In fact, more than 6.5 million international customers used the Uber app in Europe's most popular destinations last summer, with over 800,000 people opening the Uber app in the past 12 months in Ibiza alone.
