Man's $10 airport eggs on toast mocked mercilessly by internet

A traveller has taken to Reddit to share his less than impressive $10 breakfast at the airport, and the internet is having a field day with it.

Reddit user M1BG shared a picture of his $10 (5.70 pounds) "poached eggs on toast" from fast food and coffee outlet Friska at Luton Airport in England.

The meal is supposed to include "two poached eggs on Hobbs House sourdough toast', but what he received instead wasn't exactly mouth-watering material.

The man opened his box to reveal three randomly placed watery eggs and two triangles of sourdough toast.

The outraged customer wrote: “Tbh I was hoping a little more effort would have gone into my £5.70 eggs on toast breakfast from Friska at Luton Airport.”

The response from Reddit users was that the meal should be renamed "eggs near toast", and "eggs in the general vicinity of toast."

One user even claimed that they'd pay 5.70 pounds “to not eat that food”.

It's not the first time airports have come under scrutiny on social media for their overblown prices. Last month, a traveller flying from Sydney to Melbourne uploaded a photo to Twitter of a water bottle going for $9.17 in the Qantas terminal.

"Behold a $9.17 (!) bottle of water at Sydney airport," Joyner captioned the picture, showing a large bottle of Pump branded water next to its inflated shelf price.

If there's one thing to take from this, it's to remember that the internet is your best asset when it comes to bad airport experiences.
