Comparing the data from searches made this time last year, more Aussies are shunning usual favourites like Fiji and Bali in favour of other Asian countries.
With top ranking destinations seeing their searches tripling in number, here are the holiday spots you need to put on your radar.
10. Edinburgh, Scotland
More Aussies than ever are exploring the 'coolcation' trend, with Scotland's capital city of Edinburgh becoming an increasingly popular flight search.
Book a trip for May and expect mild spring weather and fewer crowds compared to peak warmer months.
