There's always a catch with cheap airline seats — those pesky hidden baggage fees.

One savvy TikTokker has devised a way to avoid the expensive charges with her own travel hack, using just a neck pillow.

The keen traveller, who posts under the name @anayotothe on TikTok, shared a video with step-by-step instructions of how to use a neck pillow as a secret carry-on bag.

"Trying the Spirit and Frontier pillow hack cuz I ain't tryna pay $60 for a carry on," the woman wrote on the video, referencing two American airlines.

"My flight is in 3 hours let's see how this goes!" she added in the caption.

The woman picked up a $9 travel pillow from US store Walgreens and proceeded to take the stuffing out, leaving room for additional storage.

She then stuffed all the clothes that wouldn't fit into her backpack into the neck pillow, which could still be used for comfort on the flight.

"Everything fits except for this shirt!" the woman exclaimed, while showing followers her clever technique.

Dozens of TikTok users flocked to the comment section to thank the woman for her genius tip.

Some, however, wondered why she didn't simply pay more for baggage or buy a more expensive seat which includes baggage.

"This too much… just pay the money and fly on delta or JetBlue," one person wrote.

"Sooo you're going to Vegas, flying spirit and can't afford to pay for a carry on?" another asked.

The woman replied: "It took five minutes, also it was an hour flight… there was no reason I should pay $300 for a flight if you can just take one of the budget airlines."
