Tarantulas on a plane? Stunned passengers spot giant spider lurking in plane cabin mid-flight
If you thought snakes on a plane were bad, then you clearly haven't flown this airline.
A viral TikTok has captured the frightening moment passengers realised they had an unwanted stowaway on their flight — a rogue tarantula.
The eight-legged arachnid was spotted crawling around the overhead compartments, causing a mid-flight commotion among passengers.

US retailer Hype Socks re-posted the terrifying footage last week, which they claim was shot by the company CEO Josh Wintermantel.
"When your CEO sees a tarantula on the plane," a voiceover reads, alongside a clip showing the big, hairy spider lurking around the bins.

Shortly after, a very brave cabin crew member captures the arachnid in a plastic see-through bag.
The company captions the clip: "Shoutout to the employee who saved our lives."
The scary clip has already garnered more than three million views, with comments ranging from "I would have [been] asking for a parachute" to "New fear unlocked".

"I know you're not supposed to make a scene on an airplane but if that thing was above me I would have a VERY hard time not screaming," one viewer wrote.
"I'm gonna need all my money back and upgrades for the rest of my life," another weighed in.
"Not what I needed to see two days before I am getting on a plane," a third critic wrote, with a fourth adding "Oh HELL NO! I would have jumped mid flight!"

A second clip, shared by TikToker @directorbrazil and viewed 3.6 million times, shows just how big the tarantula really was.
The footage shows passengers' shocked reactions as the hero staffer ferries the spider through the cabin's middle aisle.

The spider's torso alone appears to be the same size as the male staff member's hand.
"This is the second video of this spider I've seen. I'd be out the emergency exit the moment someone said spider," one critic claimed.
