Qantas will change its uniform for the first time in a decade marking 'next era'
Qantas has announced it will change its uniform for the first time in over a decade, marking an end to the navy, red, and fuchsia colour-scheme crew have sported since 2013.
The airline said it will begin to overhaul the uniform - one of the most visual representations of the brand - by searching for a new Australian designer to take it into the "next era".
The update is one of many major changes across Australia's national carrier, with the new design set to officially roll out in 2027.

"Our uniform represents the Qantas spirit all over the world," Qantas Group CEO Vanessa Hudson said.
"We have ambitious plans for the future and transforming the way we reflect the brand is critical to that."

As part of the redesign process, Qantas will begin surveying its uniformed workforce of more than 17,500 team members today to assist in developing the new uniform.
"Since our beginnings, the way we represent the brand has evolved significantly," Vanessa added.
"While the uniform style may have changed, what hasn't changed is the pride our people have in wearing it, which is why we are putting them at the core of the design process.

The current design was created by Martin Grant in 2013, and the airline thanked him for his partnership over the last decade.
Past designers of the uniform also include Peter Morrissey, Yves Saint Laurent, George Gross and Harry Who, and Emilio Pucci.
The next uniform designer will be announced in the coming months.
