Plane bathroom habit flight attendant wants passengers to stop doing: 'Makes it worse'
A flight attendant has called out passengers guilty of a common plane bathroom habit, warning the practice will only make things "worse" during a flight.
It happens on most flights. There are only a handful of toilets on an aircraft and often so many people decide to go at once they line up for the next available cubicle.
But while lining up seems like the right thing to do, a cabin crew member has shared that passengers should in fact stay in their seats instead.

"Lining up makes it worse because everyone thinks there's always going to be a line," Rich Henderson told USA Today.
The airline worker, who runs the Two Guys on a Plane blog, suggests that by staying in your seat, you'll actually end up getting to use the toilet sooner.

"I promise there will be a lull in the bathroom traffic. [Flight attendants] have to go as well."
"There's usually a gap in there that we can jump in, so there should be one for passengers as well."

If passengers waited in their seats there would be less traffic around the bathroom and galley areas, Rich says, adding it's also much safer.
"Anything can happen in the blink of an eye on an airplane. I don't think people realise it's not quite safe to just be wandering around an airplane," he said.
Apart from that, the worst time passengers can go to the bathroom is during the meal service, when crew members are rushing about the cabin and wheeling around the "heavy" food and drinks cart.
If you have to go, you have to go, but next time there's a line up maybe just wait those few extra minutes.
