Revealing the 10 most welcoming cities all around the world
While travelling, we've all been to a place that makes you feel warm and fuzzy inside, where locals welcome you with open arms and you feel right at home.
Now, we've got a definitive list of places exactly like that.
Based on its annual Traveller Review Awards, Booking.com has compiled a list of the Most Welcoming Cities on Earth, drawing from more than 300 million reviews.
One Aussie town took out a top spot on the list, being recognised for its distinct village feel and annual festivals.
"Behind each score or certificate is a whole year filled with real travellers, real experiences and real reviews, which is a core differentiator for providers to attract their next customers," says Todd Lacey, Booking.com Regional Manager for Oceania.

10. Fujikawaguchiko, Japan
Coming in at number 10 on the list is Fujikawaguchiko, a Japanese resort town in the northern foothills of Mt Fuji.
The town wraps around Lake Kawaguchi, one of the scenic Fuji Five Lakes, an area that's home to many hot springs and golf courses.
Kawaguchiko has some of the best, unobstructed views of Mt Fuji, and is just an hour outside Tokyo.
9. Jaisalmer, India
Jaisalmer is a colourful city in the west of India, known as the 'Golden Town' thanks to its yellow buildings.
It is dotted with ancient temples and forts, and is surrounded by desert.
Many people visit the city before heading into the desert for a camping trip, complete with camel rides.
8. Mazatlan , Mexico
Oceanfront Mazatlan is a Mexican resort town along the country's Pacific shoreline.
With a 21-kilometre long boardwalk, it's the perfect place to explore on foot.
Mazatlan is known for its beaches and sunny weather, with plenty of history to be discovered as well.
7. Uzés, France
The medieval town of Uzès is located in southern France, and is the exact type of small French town all the stereotypes describe.
With character-filled streets, beautiful boutiques, delicious restaurants, and marvellous historic buildings, it's full of life and love.
The Place-aux-Herbes is a town square with a fountain in the middle, lined with open-air cafes, and home to multiple produce markets.
6. Moab, USA
In the US state of Utah is a small town called Moab, which isn't home to much. But it's what's close by which makes it so special.
