This airport was just named the 'most stressful' in the world
Despite the fact you're likely heading to the airport to do something exciting like going on holidays or visiting family, stress is sometimes an inevitable part of travel.
Knowing a little about the airports you'll be travelling through can make a difference when it comes to which routes you choose to fly.
A new study has revealed some of the most (and least) stressful airports in the world, judging them on flight delays, cancellations, check-ins, security wait time, ease of getting to the airport, and baggage claim convenience.

The study conducted by iSelect, ranked 50 major airports around the globe, with Newark Liberty International (EWR) in New Jersey, US, crowned the most stressful.
It received a score of just 18.46 out of a possible 100, ranking the worst for its check-in experience and customs and immigration.

It also had the second-lowest scores for ease of getting to the airport at 74 per cent, and for security checks at 70 per cent.
Newark had an average departure delay of around 21.4 minutes over the past year and its rate of cancelled departures is 1.43 per cent.

In second place was Humberto Delgado Airport in Lisbon, Portugal with a score of just 22.51 out of 100.
It had the highest delayed departure time with an average of 27.39 minutes, according to the study.
Manchester Airport in the UK came in as the third most stressful, called out for having the worst baggage claim score.
Two more US airports came in at fourth and fifth on the list - New York's John F. Kennedy International and Chicago O'Hare International, respectively.

The 'least stressful' airports in the world
At the other end of the spectrum Singapore's Changi Airport was ranked first for the most stress-free airport, scoring an impressive 82.07 out of 100.
It scored highly in all areas, especially immigration and customs, security check, and check-in wait times.
Doha's Hamad International Airport came in second with a score of 75.89 out of 100.
It placed best for baggage claims at 93 per cent and scored highly for airport transport links with a rating of 94 per cent.

Another Asian airport ranked highly with Seoul's Incheon International Airport coming in third place.
It was called out for the lowest cancellation rate, with an average of only 0.15 per cent of flights not going ahead in the last year.
