Aspiring Crocodile Dundee? Kakadu National Park needs a new 'CEO and part-time croc-wrangler'

Kakadu National Park in the Northern Territory is on the hunt – for a new park manager with croc-fighting abilities.

A cheeky advert, by Kakadu Tourism, says the role is for a "CEO and part-time croc wrangler", who will run 20,000 square kilometre of stunning savanna.

'"Take a ride on the wilder side of life and sign up for crocs, buffalo and the ultimate job," the job description states.

"This is the top job and it’s not for the faint-hearted. You’ll run a complex business, a World-Heritage listed landscape of some 20,000 square kilometres and play host to the world as it arrives on your front doorstep."

The new park manager will manage 75 staff, work alongside Aboriginal traditional owners, and enhance the spot as a tourist attraction.

The wage? A cool $120,000 to $140,000.

Miranda Schooneveldt, who works for Parks Australia, said, "In terms of lifestyle it is like nothing else you’ll ever experience. It is a completely unique job and I doubt there’s anything like it in the world."
