Look inside the luxe Richard Branson-owned island favoured by Justin Bieber

What's the most you've ever spent on a hotel room? $200? $500? How about $5,500?

That's about what Justin Beiber forked out last night for Makepeace Island, a private ultra-luxe resort owned by Sir Richard Branson and Brett Godfrey.

For everyone who has no clue what that price tag actually gets you, have a look at this:

The island is entirely yours. Unless you invite them (you can have up to 20 guests at an additional charge of $600 for everyone over four guests), the only other people on the island will be your staff for the night.

If you do go with just your partner or a few mates then the 25 acre island (that's 16 football fields) might feel a bit empty. Though, even with 20 people you'd struggle to fill a 500,000 litre pool, a tennis court, a massive spa, a huge indoor bar and dining area, several Balinese style lounges, an entertainment room, an outdoor cinema, office space and a fishing boat.

Dining on the island is catered by ex-Sails and Barnbougal Lost Farm executive chef Lisa Maher. Maher and her team won't just make you cocktails, wine tastings and multi-course dinners at the villa, either - if you so desire you can get them to cater a picnic, river trip or even a meal in the lake-like pool.

Beiber, certainly one of the richest 23-year-olds going around, was staying in Balinese-inspired private resort following the Brisbane leg of his Purpose tour. Tonight, he’ll be at Sydney's ANZ stadium.
