Jetstar stops selling flights to Bali from capital city
Jetstar has confirmed it has temporarily stopped selling direct flights to Bali from one capital city, but the details are still up in the air for those already booked.
The airline usually operates direct services between Darwin and Denpasar five times a week, but "potential" works at Darwin International Airport could put a stop to those for a month later this year.
A spokesperson confirmed to 9Honey Travel that the airline has temporarily stopped selling direct flights between Darwin and Denpasar scheduled from October 9 to November 8, 2023 due to potential runway works by the Department of Defence.

"While the dates and times of the runway works have not yet been confirmed, we have proactively stopped selling flights during this period to limit the number of customers potentially affected," a statement reads.
"If the works do not go ahead on these dates, we will put the flights back on sale.
"Once the works are confirmed, we will contact customers already booked to fly to discuss their options including indirect flights via another port, a travel credit or a refund to their original form of payment."
The uncertainty comes as Jetstar today also announced its Bali Breaks Holiday Packages Sale.
The holiday packages include return Starter fares and accommodation, and a variety of inclusions such as daily breakfast, daily all-you-can-eat dessert hour, spa credits and more.

For example, stay at the Four Points by Sheraton Kuta for four nights, plus flights from $442 per person (departing Darwin).
Travel dates vary per route but are said to include early September to mid-December 2023 and early January to mid-March 2024.
But Jetstar has confirmed the packages from Darwin won't be available while flights are paused.
"We thank customers for their understanding and patience as we wait for confirmation about the timing of the runway works," the airline says.
The sale ends at 11.59pm AEST Wednesday 12 July 2023, unless sold out prior.
