It's perhaps the best way to celebrate the natural beauty of America's National Parks, showcasing it in a series of photos.
This year marks 100 years since the National Park Service launched to protect the natural environments dotted around the country.

The results are truly incredible, with Yang Lu winning the competition for a sunset shot at Glen Canyon National Recreation Area in Utah.

This was followed by Koustubh Kulkarni's picture taken at 49 Palms Trail at Joshua Tree National Park in California.
The parks will be celebrating their centennial year with 16 days of free entry, from August 25 – 28.
