Retired Boeing 737 enjoys second life as a fine-dining restaurant in China

A fine-dining restaurant located inside a retired Boeing 737 opened to the public in Wuhan, China, over the weekend.

Lily Airways is touted as a Western-style fine-dining space, and can cater to 70 diners at any one time (737's typically carry around 130 passengers, though rows of seats have been replaced by roomy dining tables and lush booth-style seats).

The novelty dining destination didn't come cheap – it reportedly cost owner Li Yang almost $7 million to purchase and refurbish the aircraft, which was inspired by an airplane-turned-hotel in Sweden and is now permanently grounded in a replica German town square in China's central Hubei province.

Meals cost between $40 and $60, and are served by waiters and waitresses dressed in host- and hostess-style uniforms. Enjoy your flight — er, meal!
