Here are the most popular international destinations where Aussies are travelling to this winter
With the first day of winter fast approaching, Aussies have been planning their getaways to follow the sun.
Booking.com's latest search data has revealed the top international holiday spots for this year.
And there's a very obvious trend that has emerged when looking at the top ten destinations based on accommodation bookings.
10. Kuta, Bali
Kuta has always been a popular spot for Aussies, and that's no exception.
The beach on the west coast of the island of Bali is a great neighbourhood, especially for first-timers to Indonesia.
With winter temperatures hovering around 25°C each day, there's no better place to escape Australia's chill.
9. Paris, France
It's no surprise that Paris is on the list this year - the 2024 Olympics kicks off in late July in the city of lights.
Paris is full of charming restaurants, trendy boutiques, chic cafes, and amazing museums.
8. Ubud, Bali
Another Bali region to make the list, Ubud is an inland paradise amongst rice paddies and lush jungle.
The area is known for being a haven for foodies, particularly vegans.
7. Queenstown
Just a short flight from Australia's east coast, Queenstown is an amazing spot anyone seeking an active holiday.
The only spot on the list which isn't about escaping winter, Queenstown is often visited by keen skiiers.
6. Canggu, Bali
Yep, another Bali spot on the list.
Canggu is a beachside area surrounded by terraced rice paddies and known for good surf.
