You'll soon be able to zip line through a man-made rainforest in Dubai

Dubai often feels like the city that really takes the phrase "never say never" pretty seriously, with their offering of the world's tallest building, indoor ski slopes and a $1000 scoop of gold leaf ice-cream.

And now, a rainforest in the desert.

ZAS Architects are currently working on an artificial jungle as part of the construction of The Rosemont Hotel & Residences Dubai, a 448-room hotel with two sky scrapers.

The fully immersive 7000-square-metre rainforest will be completed in 2018, featuring a sensory rain system which will stimulate "the sensation of being surrounded by rainfall without actually getting wet".

Perhaps the best part is that guests will be able to zip line right through the centre before finishing off in a beautiful swimming pool.

If a rainforest in the middle of the desert isn't your thing, there's also a world class spa, an onsite theatre for movie night, stimulator skydiving and a bowling alley. To name a few.
