The safety demonstration is easily the most boring – but essential – part of a flight, but one flight attendant made it his mission to put on a show the passengers would never forget, with his theatrical "mime routine" quickly captivating millions around the world.

On board a JetBlue flight from Newark to Tampa in the United States, the flight attendant was filmed theatrically gesturing along to the mandated safety demonstration to better capture the audience's attention.

In the TikTok, which now has more than 2 million views, users of the social media platform watched on as the flight attendant demonstrated to lucky passengers how to properly buckle the safety vest, popping out his hip in the process.

They also viewed his micro-expressions as he showed them how to blow into the whistle, before he dramatically "wisped" out of view as he mimed where the emergency exits on the plane were.

The TikToker who uploaded the video, Joey MacNeer, called for viewers to "Fly Jet Blue [and] also give this guy a raise."

Commenters agreed with MacNeer's sentiment.

"That's the only way I'd be able to pay attention and remember the instructions," one said.

"I actually understand what the pilot was saying with this guy," added another.

Others, however, said the opposite.

"If this don't work out he'd have a great gig as a mime," one said.

The flight attendant in question, who's name is Peter Echevarria, also found his way to the TikTok, telling MacNeer, "It was a pleasure working your [flight] today... hope to see you again on my next flight!"
